Saka has been unavailable for the Gunners since he injured his hamstring against Crystal Palace in December.

But the England winger has been back in training for weeks and now ready to play again.

Speaking to reporters on Monday morning, Arteta said: “Bukayo is ready to go.

“The careful thing is already done, so now it’s about putting him on the grass in the right moments, but he is pushing because he really wants it.

“We have respected the time-frame, we have done everything, we had to hold him back, so now he is ready to go.”

When asked if Saka could start against Fulham, Arteta replied: “Yeah, yeah.

“He is another massive weapon. We know the impact he has had on the team and how important his role and his contribution is to our success, so great to have him back.”

Also speaking on the availability of Jurrien Timber, he said the Dutch defender, who has been struggling with illness over the past week, is ready for the game against Fulham.

He, however, added that Italian defender,  Riccardo Calafiori still faces several weeks out.

Calafiori picked up a knee injury while playing for Italy during the international break.

Speaking on the availability of the duo,
Arteta said, “Jurrien was ill for a long period, quite badly, but he has felt much better in the last few days, so he is available.”

He added, “Riccardo unfortunately picked up an injury with the national team.”

“With the way it happened, it could have been much worse. Hopefully, it’s going to be a matter of weeks, but we have to see.”
