North London club, Arsenal sealed their place in this season’s UEFA Champions League (UCL) semi-final after beating La Liga giants, Real Madrid 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night.

The Gunners who travelled to Spain with a healthy 3-0 lead from the first leg were given the chance to silence the noisy home support when they were awarded a 13th-minute penalty.

But Bukayo Saka saw his tame effort saved by Thibaut Courtois, as both sides went into the break without scoring.

However, the England forward made amends for his miss when he effectively killed off the tie with a fantastic chipped second-half finish over Courtois after Mikel Merino’s clever pass.

Although Vinicius Junior pulled one back after a defensive mixup between David Raya and William Saliba, Gabriel Martinelli ran through to seal another big win for the Premier League club.

Mikel Arteta’s men with the win, will now take on Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for a place in the final.
