Arsenal qualify for UCL after Chelsea forced Aston Villa to 2-2 draw

Arsenal, who travel to Spurs on Sunday
currently lead the league with 77 points and have four fixtures left

North London club, Arsenal have become the first English Premier League (EPL) team to qualifiy for next season’s UEFA Champions League (UCL).

This follows Chelsea’s impressive come back from two goals down to force a 2-2 draw at Aston Villa on Saturday night.

Unai Emery’s men, who are also looking to qualify for the Champions League, took the lead through Marc Cucurella’s own goal.

The host then doubled their advantage in the 39th minute through Rogers.

However, Chelsea fought back in the second half through goals from Noni Madueke and Conor Gallagher to level scorers.

The result leaves Villa, who are currently fourth on 67 points with three games left, meaning they cannot catch up with the Gunners again.

While Spurs in 5th with 60 points and 6 games to play can mathematically leapfrog Arsenal, Man United in 6th can no longer catch the league leaders.

Meanwhile, Arsenal who are on 77 points, have four fixtures left and travel to Spurs on Sunday in pursuit of their first EPL in 20 years.
