Arsenal came from behind to defeat Luton Town 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller played at Kenilworth Road Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Gunners dominated the largely uneventful opening to the game and were duly rewarded when Gabriel Martinelli steered Bukayo Saka’s pass into the bottom-left corner.

Gabriel Osho then brought the hosts level five minutes later with a header from Alfie Doughty’s corner.

Arsenal regained the lead in the 45th minute when Gabriel Jesus nodded in Ben White’s cross from close range.

Luton then scored twice in eight minutes after Elijah Adebayo and Ross Barkley found the net with Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya culpable for both goals.

The momentum swung back towards Mikel Arteta’s side when Kai Havertz prodded in from the impressive Jesus’ pass to equalise.

However, the Hatters were denied a valuable point when Rice met Martin Odegaard’s cross in the seventh minute of stoppage time, 23 seconds after the six official minutes added on had expired.

Arsenal with the win go 5 points ahead of second-placed Liverpool who doesn’t play until Wednesday, but defeat leaves Luton 17th, two points above the relegation zone.
