Arsenal booked their place in the quarter-finals of this season’s UEFA Champions League (UCL) on Tuesday night after defeating Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 at the Emirates.
Mikel Arteta’s men came into the tie level on aggregate with the German side, after Kai Havertz’s late penalty last week secured a 1-1 draw in the first leg.
However, goals from Eberechi Eze and Declan Rice in the first and second half respectively helped Arsenal secure a comfortable victory, progressing to the next round with a 3-1 aggregate scoreline.
