Dayo Israel: “Over the last 7 years, we have always had fuel availability every Christmas. It was even a major scorecard that December fuel crisis came to end. How come the December before election, suddenly fuel became scarce, reason am! To make APC look bad to Nigerians? INTERNAL SABOTEURS.”

National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dayo Israel, has alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari’s government officials are sabotaging the chances of their presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, with a fuel crisis.

Nigerians have been experiencing a gruelling fuel shortage in the last three months with no hope in sight.

Analysts say going into the election with the current fuel crisis unresolved may hurt the chances of the ruling party.

Dayo Israel wrote on his Twitter account on Thursday that the scarcity that continues to take a harder toll on the citizenry is an act of internal sabotage by high-level members of the APC to reduce Tinubu’s chances of winning the election.

“Over the last 7 years, we have always had fuel availability every Christmas. It was even a major scorecard that December fuel crisis came to end. How come the December before election, suddenly fuel became scarce, reason am! To make APC look bad to Nigerians? INTERNAL SABOTEURS,” Dayo Israel wrote.

Recall that Tinubu had on Wednesday alleged that the change of naira notes and fuel scarcity was targeted against him.

He said:  “You’re hoarding fuel and hoarding the naira. Still, we will vote, and we will win this election.”

He added, “Whether you change the ink of the naira or spend money till you are in debt, things won’t turn out as you hope, we are the ones who will win the election, and our opponents will fail.”
