APC mocks Obi, says he’s never willing to build any party
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has criticised former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, following his departure from the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
National Publicity Secretary of the APC Felix Morka said in a post on X Sunday that Obi never likes to stay in a political party through its crisis.
“Peter Obi, a political rolling stone that gathers no moss… roaming again in search of free, uncontested, unchallenged presidential ticket… never willing to remain to build any party,” he wrote.
Morka further alleged that Obi prefers a path to power that does not involve internal party contest.
“He fantasises to be president on a ticket delivered only on a platter of gold… APGA – PDP – LP – ADC on to NDC,” Morka added.
The APC spokesman concluded by describing the former Anambra State governor as a “political drifter.”

“Fare thee well, Nigeria’s inconsolable political drifter,” he said.
Obi had earlier announced his departure from the African Democratic Congress, citing internal crises within the party and what he described as a toxic political environment.
In a statement shared on Sunday, Obi said his decision followed deep reflection and ongoing challenges, including internal disputes and divisions that have distracted the party from addressing national issues.
He maintained that his exit was not due to personal disagreements with party leaders such as former Senate President David Mark or former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, both of whom he said he continues to respect.
Obi also reiterated that he is not desperate for political office, stressing that his priority remains improving the welfare of Nigerians and building a more functional society.
Despite his exit, he reaffirmed his belief in the possibility of competent and compassionate leadership in the country, insisting that a better Nigeria remains achievable.
