Ihiala is now the battleground in the Anambra guber, but former Central Bank of Nigeria governor, Charles Soludo, looks good in the area
Anambra guber which was declared inconclusive because the election did not hold in Ihiala, will now be completed tomorrow., November 9.
According to the State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Nwachukwu Orji, the supplementary gubernatorial election in Ihiala will now hold on Tuesday, November 9
The Returning Officer for Ihiala had submitted a blank result sheet to the collation panel yesterday. The reason was that election materials for the local government did not arrive in the area throughout Saturday, November 6, the day of the election.
Ihiala is now the battleground because it has 148,407 potential votes

Soludo has 98,178 votes; Val Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is on the second spot with 49,401 votes while overrated Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is coming third with 40,770 votes.
Anxious voters in Ihiala had arrived at the various polling units only to be disappointed in the non-arrival of materials.
INEC Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, C Don Adinuba, had attributed the ugly development to logistical problems.
The local government has about 140,000 voters. The voter turnout in the election has not been more than 25 per cent, clearly putting the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in safety.
Charles Soludo has swept 17 LGAs, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Young Progressives Party (YPP) have one local government each, while the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has none.
Anambra has 21 local government areas and the candidates of the PDP and APC are the runners-up so far.
INEC is also meeting to decide whether or not to accept the Orumba North LGA result, which the collation officer claimed he signed under duress. The Electoral Officer in the election contradicted him, claiming the collation officer had been behaving erratically throughout the period of the election.
Orumba has 93,620 registered voters.
