The third edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) will announce nominees Wednesday, December 10 for the award’s third edition set to hold on March 7, 2015.
Tomorrow’s announcement will be hosted by popular television personalities, Nick Mutuma of Mashariki Mix and Sika Osei of 53 Extra.
Public voting will open immediately after the announcement which airs on all AfricaMagic channels at 20:30 CAT, and close on February 28, 2015.
“We are pleased to invite our viewers to tune in as we announce the nominees for the 2015 AMVCA,” said Regional Director, M-Net (West) Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu.
Since the maiden edition in 2013, the AMVCAs have celebrated the contributions of African filmmakers, actors and technicians to the success of the continent’s film and television industry. With this third edition viewers can expect to see even more awards in new categories ranging from acting, directing to scriptwriting and cinematography. Other categories will include editing, make-up, sound and lighting, amongst others.
