The newly installed Alafin of Arin Akoko in Akoko North West local government of Ondo state, Oba (Professor) AbdulRaheem Mustafa Adejoro has been described as one of the most accomplished Nigerians.
The new monarch, a Professor, worked with the National Open University of Nigeria before ascending the throne of his forefathers after fifteen years that the town had been without a traditional ruler.
A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rear Admiral Samuel Ilesanmi Alade, while saluting the newly installed Monarch, said clearly Oba Adejoro is one of the most accomplished Nigerians in every sense of the word considering his sterling record of service to the country.
“It is my hope that he would use his status as a scholar to better the lots of the town and I am alao confident that the people of Afin Akoko will continue to see development and abundance in the years ahead under Your Highness’ reign.
He stressed that the event which came as expected has further signified a brighter future for the people of Afin Akoko.
“On behalf of my family and SIA FOUNDATION, I extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to Your Highness on this most auspicious occasion”, he added
The last Alafin of Afin was Oba Idris Oloruntegbe Suberu who joined his ancestors 15 years ago and his daughter, Funmilayo Idris had been the regent of the town since then
