The Commissioner for Water Resources, Public Sanitation and Hygiene, Hon. Ayodele Akande, has urged residents of Ondo State to support the Aiyedatiwa administration, saying that ongoing reforms and programmes would bring further improvements to communities across the state.
Akande made the appeal while speaking on Saturday at Ikaram Akoko in Akoko North West Local government area of Ondo state where he represented Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa at the final burial ceremony of the late mother of community figure Jossy Afolabi.
The commissioner noted that the administration remained committed to expanding essential services particularly in water, sanitation and grassroots development, assuring that every local community would benefit from the government initiatives.
He added that sustained public support would strengthen the implementation of policies designed to improve living conditions across Ondo State.
The event also drew a large gathering of political associates, community leaders and long-time supporters who seized the opportunity to reconnect with Akande. For many, it was a reunion with the former Executive Chairman of Akoko North West Local Government, marked by warm exchanges and shared memories from his earlier years of public service.
Despite the solemnity of the occasion, Akande’s presence underscored the administration’s efforts to maintain close ties with local communities while honouring prominent families across the state.
