Ajibade says Super Falcons are ready to win 10th WAFCON title

Ajibade will be making her third appearance at the WAFCON tournament  taking place in Morocco in July.

Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade has said she and teammates have resolved to win the 2024 edition of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The former FC Robo Queens winger made this known recently during an interview with CAFonline.

The Super Falcons are the most successful team in the history of the competition.

The Justine Madugu led side have won the WAFCON trophy nine times and will be challenging for a tenth title when hostilities begin in Morocco next month.

Speaking on their level of readiness for the tournament, Ajibade, who will be making her third appearance at the WAFCON, said they are focused on lifting the trophy.

According to her, the team will go all out to win the title.

Speaking during the chat she said, “We are focused on mission X. For us, effort is everything.”

TheNiche had earlier reported that the Super Falcons are expected to arrive in Casablanca, Morocco on Wednesday, June 25 for their final preparation.

The team had earlier held Portugal to a 0-0 draw in a friendly played in Lisbon on Monday.

On Sunday, the Super Falcons are expected to play another friendly against perennial rivals Black Queens of Ghana.
