Aiyedatiwa lifts curfew in Owo following restoration of peace

Aiyedatiwa added that Owo residents can henceforth resume their daily activities and move without hindrance

Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has lifted the curfew he earlier imposed on Owo town in Owo local government area of the State.

This was disclosed on Friday, February 21 via a press statement made available to journalists by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan.

This development followed the  improvement in the security situation in the community and the peaceful conduct of residents of the town.

According to the governor, residents of Owo can now resume their daily civic activities and movement without any hindrance.

Aiyedatiwa went on to thank security agencies, traditional rulers, religious leaders and all other stakeholders who rose to the challenge of restoring peace and order to the community.

The governor recently imposed a dawn to dusk curfew on the town following the break down of law and order which emanated from clashes by rival gangs in the town.
