Agbowa monarch hails Vital Health for Free medical care, leadership clinic in his domain

Paramount ruler of Agbowa in Ejinrin Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Oba Owolabi Saheed Momson, has commended Vital Health International for providing free medical care to his community.
Vital Health International started a three-day medical outreach in the community, offering general medical consultations, comprehensive examinations, surgeries, dental care, optometry services, and specialised interventions. Hundreds of residents received various forms of care on day one of the event.
During a courtesy visit to the palace of the king led by the founder of the initiative, Dr Joe Tarkon, the monarch described the programme as a “timely lifeline”, noting that it came at a critical time when the soaring cost of healthcare has made quality treatment inaccessible to many ordinary Nigerians.

He said: “I pray that this will not be the last time you visit us. We deeply appreciate what you have done for our people. We know that healthcare costs in Nigeria are prohibitive, and most of our people suffering from various ailments cannot afford treatment. But you have come to provide it free of charge. You deserve commendation for this good work.”
In his remarks, Dr Joe Tarkon, Chief Executive Officer of Vital Health International and Senior Pastor of RCCG City of David, Atlanta, USA, thanked the monarch for the warm reception accorded the team.
He explained that the outreach would cater to both in-patient cases requiring surgical interventions and outpatient cases across various medical conditions.
Dr Tarkon also informed the monarch that the programme would include leadership and business development training on Friday, aimed at equipping participants with skills to grow their businesses. The event would conclude with a Christian crusade on Saturday at the Humuani Event Centre, featuring renowned gospel artiste Tope Alabi among the guest ministers.

Several organisations, including Africa Mission Global, supported the outreach.
Earlier, residents of the Lafiaji slum community along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway had benefited from a similar Vital Health International medical outreach, organised in collaboration with RCCG City of David, Atlanta (USA), and RCCG The Oasis, Lekki.
Reflecting on the outreach, Dr Tarkon said: “I am very impressed. We feel a deep sense of fulfilment being able to contribute meaningfully to improving the health of the people we serve. Seeing mothers with children, young people, and entire families receive care — it’s truly rewarding.”
