Khafi Kareem, a Scotland Yard policewoman faces the dismissal for participating in the Big Brother Naija Television show without getting the approval of the the UK police authorities.
Big Brother Naija is a reality television show in which the winner goes home with N30 million out of the 20 housemates selected during the auditioning stage.
Kareem, 29, flew from the UK to participate in the Big Brother auditioning and she made the list of the 20 housemates.
The Sun of UK reported that she did not seek approval from the Metropolitan Police to participate in the show, instead, she leveraged on her work leave to Nigeria.
Kareem joined the UK police in 2015 as Constable, the lowest entry rank of the force.
She was a poster cop for the UK police, and had featured in many skit showing the diligent work of the law enforcement officers.
Even though her appearance in the television show violated standard procedure for law enforcement agents, her involvement in sexual activity on television was the final straw.
Opinions are however divided whether the Metropolitan Police should sack Kareem for having romantic time on a live television show.
On Twitter, @buzibrownie said Kareem should not be punished over her personal life on the show.
