Adelabu predicts APC will dislodge PDP from Oyo in 2027

Former Minister of Power and All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Adebayo Adelabu, has stated that his party will defeat the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State during the 2027 elections to take over the state.

He made this known on Saturday in a statement while discussing the upcoming election in the state with Daily Post.

According to him, the APC will dislodge the Governor Seyi Makinde-led PDP through the support of party faithful and residents.

Adelabu said, “The APC will reclaim power in the state in 2027 through unity, commitment, and the support of party faithful and residents.”

Adelabu also disclosed that he has concluded plans to formally declare his ambition on Tuesday in Ibadan, the state capital, adding that the event would mark the beginning of a renewed political journey.

He explained that his decision to run on the APC platform in the next gubernatorial election was born out of a desire to build a better Oyo State.

The immediate past Minister of Power further noted that his return to the race is aimed at returning the state to what he described as “progressive leadership” under the APC.
