Nollywood actress and internet personality, Evan Okoro has undergone a Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) test following allegations that her colleague, Ekene Umenwa, claimed she was living with the virus.
Okoro disclosed that she took the test just hours after calling out Umenwa in an Instagram post shared on Sunday.
The controversy began after Evan’s name reportedly appeared on a list of Nollywood stars living with HIV, which was allegedly provided to a UK-based Nigerian nurse, Adanma Waller, by Umenwa.
Speaking via a video shared on her verified page, the thespian expressed her disbelief and demanded to hear the actor’s side of the story.

She said: “There is something I am seeing on social media right now. My name is on a list; they are saying Evans Okoro is carrying something that people find difficult to mention.
“Ekene Umenwa, did you add me to your list? Is that what you said, or is the devil just using you all to bring me down? I defended you. I said let’s hear Ekene’s side of the story, but seeing my name there as someone they say is living with HIV…
“Ekene, if this is what you said, may God punish you and your entire generation, including your father, your mother, and your husband. But if it is not what you said, may God punish those people who fabricated this lie and their generation, because my mother is crying right now.”
Following the incident, Evan visited a hospital for an HIV test to confirm her health status.
In a subsequent post, she shared a clip of herself at the clinic, capturing the moment she received her result.
According to the laboratory test displayed in the now-trending video, Evan tested negative.
