Nollywood actress, Etinosa Idemudia, has asserted that acting is more tasking than working as an engineer, claiming that it is “mad people’s work.”

She stirred controversy while featuring as a guest on the latest episode of the ‘Bold Enough To Say It’ podcast.

According to the thespian, from her experience as both an engineer and an actor, the latter is far more demanding.

She went on to urge her fellow movie stars not to let people from other professions demean or intimidate them.

Speaking on the show, Idemudia said, “I have been an engineer and I have been an actor, no offence to my colleagues in the engineering world but I dare say that being an actor is much more tasking. It’s a crazy kind of work. It’s a mad people’s work.”

She added, “Don’t let those people that close by five PM to come and be insulting us.”

However, after the now-trending interview found its way to social media, it elicited mixed reactions.

While some netizens agreed with her, others disagreed, arguing that while anyone could act, engineering requires academic and professional certifications.
