Nollywood comic actor Wale Akorede, popularly known as Okunnu, has fired back at the owner of Olasco Films, Alhaji Akeem Olatunji Balogun, after being labelled an “ingrate”.
About three weeks ago, the veteran thespian called out the popular movie marketer over a 16-year debt. According to Okunnu, he produced and directed a film for Olasco but never received his share of the proceeds.
Making it clear that he could no longer accept the injustice, he stated, “I haven’t forgiven Olasco.”

Responding to the claims during an interview with actor Tunde Ola-Yusuf, Olasco described Okunnu as an ingrate and insisted he had given him N2 million to produce the movie.
“Okunnu is like a blind man using a walking stick; when he regained his sight, he threw away the stick that was guiding him. That’s who he is, for him to say he worked for me without pay. Okunnu collected N2 million from me to produce the movie 16 years ago. At that time, production only cost between N700,000 and N1 million,” Olasco claimed.
Reacting to Olasco in the interviewer’s Instagram comment section, Okunnu threatened to expose the movie marketer “in a big way” and announced an end to his 16 years of silence.
He wrote: “I’m still coming for you in a BIG way. My silence for 16 years is ending soon.”
