Gov Idris’s aide, Jega, threatens to bar Kebbi ADC guber candidate, Malami, over alleged billboard vandalism

​Jega warned the former Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) that he would take action if the alleged destruction continued.

​Alhaji Ahmad Tijjani Musa, popularly known as ATM Jega, an aide to the Governor of Kebbi State, Nasir Idris, has vowed to prevent the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate, Abubakar Malami, from entering the state over the alleged destruction of political billboards.

​Jega, who is the Special Adviser to the governor on Cemetery Affairs, issued the threat while reacting to allegations that some individuals had removed All Progressives Congress (APC) billboards in different parts of Kebbi State.

​The development comes as political activities gather momentum in the north-western state ahead of the 2027 general elections.

​Reacting to the alleged vandalism, Jega urged Malami, a former Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), to caution those he described as his supporters against a recurrence.

​He said, “We will prevent Abubakar Malami from entering Kebbi State if he does not stop his boys from tearing down our billboards.”

​Jega further warned that he would take action if the alleged destruction continued.
