Ganduje and Jonathan’s meeting follows the ex-president’s expression of confidence in APC candidates contesting the Bayelsa East election in the 2027 polls.

A delegation led by the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, recently paid a courtesy visit to former President Goodluck Jonathan at his residence in Abuja.
Video footage of the meeting between the former Kano State governor and the ex-Nigerian president subsequently circulated across various social media platforms on Wednesday.
Although specific details of the discussion were not disclosed in the trending clip, the meeting comes amid political manoeuvres by various parties ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Earlier, Jonathan expressed confidence in APC candidates contesting the Bayelsa East senatorial district ahead of the 2027 polls.
He gave the vote of confidence at his residence in Yenagoa when a delegation led by former Deputy Governor, Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah (retd.), visited him.
The delegation included the Managing Director of the NDDC, Samuel Ogbuku, and Bayelsa APC Chairman, Warman Weri Ogoriba. The visit was arranged to introduce the APC candidates to Jonathan as a prominent leader from Bayelsa East.
