Tinubu heads to Europe for 3-week vacation

President Bola Tinubu will on Sunday leave for Europe to begin a three-week annual leave.

The president’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement said London would be Tinubu’s first port of call.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja today for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave. His first stop will be London, United Kingdom,” he said.

Onanuga further said the president is expected to return to the country immediately after the vacation to join what he described as the “hectic campaign” for the January 2027 general election.

“President Tinubu is expected to return home after the working vacation to join the hectic campaign for the January 2027 election,” he said.

The president’s trip comes as political activities across the country continue to intensify ahead of the 2027 polls, with parties and candidates ramping up preparations for the election season.

The statement did not disclose other parts of Europe where the president would be visiting.
