Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández is patiently waiting for the outcome of negotiations between the Blues and Manchester City, having verbally agreed personal terms with the latter.
This was disclosed on Saturday by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a post shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
Fernández is keen on a move from Chelsea to Premier League rivals Man City and is now waiting for both clubs to agree on a fee.
According to Romano, both Premier League clubs are locked in negotiations over the midfielder, and the deal is expected to be sanctioned once they reach an agreement.
He added, however, that a formal bid is yet to be submitted by the Manchester outfit and that the final outcome depends on the West London club.

Taking to his verified handle, the Italian journalist wrote: “Enzo Fernández has a verbal agreement with Manchester City on personal terms.
“Deal depends on club-to-club decision, as #MCFC have not sent an official bid yet, but contacts will take place soon; decision on price is up to Chelsea.
“Enzo could be out again this weekend.”
