Manchester City have expressed readiness to begin their bid to secure the services of Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández before the end of the summer transfer window.
This was disclosed on Tuesday by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a post shared on his official X account (formerly Twitter).
Fernández, who is the subject of transfer interest from Man City, made a substitute appearance for Chelsea on Monday night as the Blues edged past fellow London club Fulham 3-2 at Craven Cottage.
Speaking in his latest update, Romano claimed that the blue half of Manchester are poised to set the ball rolling for the capture of the Argentine international, who has “opened doors to the move”.

The Italian journalist added that Chelsea are equally ready to do a deal with the Citizens as long as they are willing to pay the right price.
Taking to his verified handle, Romano wrote: “Manchester City are set to send formal bid before the end of the window for Enzo Fernández!
”#MCFC want to try again and Enzo has opened doors to the move.
”Chelsea maintain they only sell if money is right and if they can improve their squad.”
Fernández joined West London outfit Chelsea in 2023 and has since donned their jersey a total of 119 times, scoring on 19 occasions.
