English football commentator and Arsenal legend Alan Smith has cautioned the Gunners against signing Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, arguing the Nigerian is not the right tactical or financial fit for the club.
The 63-year-old former striker issued the note of warning recently while talking to Gooners News.
Osimhen has been linked with the reigning Premier League champions and other top European clubs this summer.
The Nigerian striker joined Turkish giants Galatasaray in 2024 on loan before making the move permanent a year later, going on to score 43 times in 53 appearances across all competitions.

Despite these impressive statistics, Smith warned Arsenal to carefully consider whether they want to make a huge investment in the Nigerian international.
According to him, the Super Eagles talisman could disrupt the chemistry in Mikel Arteta’s squad.
Speaking during the interview, Smith said: “I don’t know how much truth there is in that.
“When Osimhen went from Napoli to Galatasaray, I think most people probably thought, ‘Oh, his chance to go to the Premier League may be over.’ But he can score goals.
“I think Arsenal do need a centre-forward; it’s about getting the right one, so that’ll be an interesting one to see how it develops, if it does develop.”
