Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has predicted that Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo will not retire from football just yet and is likely to continue playing for another year or two.
The former French international, who played alongside Ronaldo at Old Trafford, made this known recently during an interview with Heavy Sports.
While Evra, who is currently 45 years old, retired from football in 2019, Ronaldo—who turned 41 this year—is gearing up for another season with Al-Nassr following his appearance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Speaking on how many years the former Real Madrid striker has left before hanging up his boots, the Frenchman acknowledged that his ex-teammate is “addicted to working hard and pushing himself”.
”I never played with anybody else who was more professional than Cristiano. Training was at 10 a.m., and this guy was showing up at 8 a.m., practising everything,” Evra said.
He added: “I feel that Cristiano has a nice disease. He’s addicted to working hard and pushing himself. And that is why I am not surprised by his longevity. He can still play for another one or two years, and I wouldn’t be surprised.”
