Amid a reported public altercation involving Afrobeats legend Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Baba, and his wife, Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, at a club in Abuja, the singer has broken his silence by sharing photos of himself alongside Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Olatunji Rilwan Disu.
In the now-trending post, the ‘African Queen’ hitmaker described the encounter with the police chief as a productive discussion centered on community policing.
2Baba’s post came after an eyewitness identified as @wahalaMann on X alleged that there was a confrontation between the music legend and his wife at a nightclub on Friday, 7 August.
According to the netizen, the Edo legislator had reportedly been unable to reach 2Baba for months amid growing tensions in their marriage.
Upon learning he was scheduled to perform at the grand opening of Faze’s 90s Lounge at Trukadero, she allegedly made her way to the venue and waited for his arrival.
When 2Baba pulled up, Natasha reportedly ran to his car and began making a scene, repeatedly insisting she wanted to speak with her husband and identifying herself as his wife.
The X user said, “Allegedly, 2Face and his latest wife, Natasha, haven’t been on good terms for months, and she hasn’t even been able to see him. She reportedly heard that the owner of Trukadero was opening a club called 90’s yesterday, so she went there and waited for 2Face. When he finally arrived, she rushed to his car and started making a scene, saying she wanted to see her husband and talk to him.”

The eyewitness added that 2Baba eventually managed to calm the situation and brought Natasha inside the club with him.
A more dramatic account from a senior source within 2Baba’s management team painted a more alarming picture.
The source alleged Natasha arrived at the venue with both security personnel and individuals described as thugs, claiming there was an attempt to abduct the singer.
He further confirmed the couple had been separated for over two months at the time of the incident.
Speaking hours after the alleged altercation, 2Baba took to his verified handle to say he had a conversation with the IGP.
He added that the parley centred on the urgent need to strengthen the relationship between ordinary Nigerians and the security forces responsible for protecting them.
The veteran singer wrote: “Had a meaningful conversation with the IGP on community policing and the vital need to build stronger trust between our people and those sworn to protect us. When we listen to each other, we build better together.”
