Ace Afrobeats singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has asked the government at all levels to devise a means to halt the killings and maiming brought about by the activities of armed bandits who constantly attack residents of Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.

He made the call on Wednesday when he visited Otukpo-Nobi, a community in the LGA, where assailants launched a deadly attack that killed at least 10 residents and injured several others about three weeks ago.

Addressing the people of the community, 2Baba said, “It’s becoming too much now, we can’t pretend anymore. We need to begin planning. It won’t be automatic, but there is definitely going to be a solution.

“It’s not going to be one person; we all need to come together and fight it. I came to sympathise with you all. It’s painful.”

Many residents of Otukpo have reportedly been gruesomely murdered since the beginning of 2026 following a series of unprovoked attacks by suspected terrorists.
