British television presenter and Sky Sports legend Jeff Stelling has said English Premier League (EPL) champions Arsenal are the favourites to win the title this season.
He backed the Gunners to retain the trophy recently while analysing the readiness of EPL teams for the 2026/2027 season on talkSPORT.

Arsenal won the Premier League title last season after a 22-year wait, beating Manchester City and Manchester United to the trophy.
The North London club also came close to winning the UEFA Champions League (UCL) last season before losing to Paris Saint-Germain on penalties in the final.

Arsenal have signed several new players to improve the squad for the new season and remain active in the transfer market to strengthen the team further.
Speaking ahead of the campaign, Stelling noted that based on current form and squad depth, Mikel Arteta’s side will likely retain the EPL trophy.
He, however, stressed that their biggest challenge in the upcoming season will be balancing their league form to win the UCL as well.
“For me, the challengers are not getting stronger,” Stelling said.
He added: “So at the moment, Arsenal, for me, are the clear, clear favourites in terms of the Premier League, but it’s a question of what they can do in Europe as well.”
