Nigerian online streamer and comedian Oderhohwo Joseph Efe, better known as Carter Efe, has explained why he was not at the widely publicised wedding ceremony of popular TikTokers and influencers, Peller and Jarvis.

He justified his absence during a recent live stream while reacting to discussions about the event, which was held in Lagos on August 1 and attracted several celebrities.

Prior to being left out of the event, Peller had made it clear during an interview with media personality Tunde Perry that Carter Efe was not welcome.

Speaking during the interview, the content creator said, “Carter Efe has been barred from attending my wedding.”

However, while explaining his conspicuous absence from the event, the comedian-turned-streamer alleged that the wedding was skit-making and that it was not a real marriage.

According to Carter Efe, he was deliberately left out of the ceremony because, in his view, it was created purely for content and online engagement.

He said, “They do content, they say na wedding. Yes, na content now. You no know? No be real marriage. Na why dem no invite me.”

The discussion later shifted to speculation about whether the couple could announce a pregnancy in the future, with one of the co-hosts suggesting such an announcement might also become part of their content strategy.

“In the next nine months, we go start to dey hear say Jarvis don get belle. So, that one too na content. It’s just content. The belle too, na just content,” he said.

Responding, Carter Efe distanced himself from the speculation, cautioning against making comments about Jarvis’s pregnancy.

“But leave that woman belle, o,” he said.

The co-host immediately retracted the remark, adding, “Okay, na true. Make we no dey talk, allegedly, allegedly. Thank God say I remember. Ah, allegedly. Thank God.”

The drama between the two content creators dates back to 2025, when Carter Efe was seen slapping Peller on a live stream after warning him sternly about his behaviour.

In the now-viral video, Carter Efe was seen giving Peller a resounding slap while daring him to retaliate.

Since that incident, tension between them has remained high, with neither party fully reconciling their differences to date.
