​Popular Juju and highlife singer Iyun Janet Oluwatoyosi Ajilore, better known as St Janet, has passed away.

​She reportedly died on Saturday, 1 July 2026, after a brief illness.

​Her death was announced on Sunday by publisher and socialite Otunba Femi Davies in a post shared on his Facebook page.

​Confirming the development, Davies wrote: “St Janet (Iyun Janet Ajilore), a popular Nigerian Juju and Highlife musician known for her vibrant live performances, energetic stage presence and socially unfiltered party tracks, is dead. She died after a brief illness on Saturday.”

​St Janet was widely celebrated by music lovers for her unique style and energetic performances that earned her a strong fan base within the Juju music community at home and abroad.

​Her contributions to the genre cemented her place as one of the notable entertainers associated with the vibrant Nigerian live music culture.
