Popular Juju and highlife singer Iyun Janet Oluwatoyosi Ajilore, better known as St Janet, has passed away.
She reportedly died on Saturday, 1 July 2026, after a brief illness.
Her death was announced on Sunday by publisher and socialite Otunba Femi Davies in a post shared on his Facebook page.

Confirming the development, Davies wrote: “St Janet (Iyun Janet Ajilore), a popular Nigerian Juju and Highlife musician known for her vibrant live performances, energetic stage presence and socially unfiltered party tracks, is dead. She died after a brief illness on Saturday.”
St Janet was widely celebrated by music lovers for her unique style and energetic performances that earned her a strong fan base within the Juju music community at home and abroad.
Her contributions to the genre cemented her place as one of the notable entertainers associated with the vibrant Nigerian live music culture.
