Afrobeats singer, rapper, and songwriter Olanrewaju Ogunmefun, better known as Vector Tha Viper, has urged partners not to focus entirely on societal standards when settling down, revealing that he met his wife, Yinka Coker, at a nightclub.
He gave the advice while appearing as a guest on the latest episode of the MENtality podcast, co-hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Banky W.

According to the ‘Early Momo’ crooner, contrary to the stereotype that club-goers do not make good wives, his wife has been “super homely” since they tied the knot.
The 41-year-old rapper added that it is not necessary to follow every piece of advice when choosing a spouse, especially regarding where you meet them.

Speaking during the interview, Vector said: “I met my woman in the club. You will not believe she is super homely. Who would have thought? What was the first attraction? She was rapping Heavy D.
“So, you can’t take advice when it comes to a life partner. The typical advice that I heard before then was that there were no good women in the club.
“I am not saying you shouldn’t take any advice—you can have a few people who give you good counsel, then, on your own, you can decide what works for you.”
Vector and Yinka Coker became husband and wife in December 2022 after a civil ceremony, and their union has since produced a daughter.
