Aiyedatiwa hails Tinubu, security agencies over rescue of kidnapped Oyo pupils, teachers

Ondo State Governor, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and security agencies for the successful rescue of pupils and teachers abducted in Oyo State, describing the development as a triumph of coordinated security efforts.
In a statement issued on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, the governor expressed profound relief over the safe return of the victims, attributing the success to decisive leadership and effective collaboration among security operatives.
Aiyedatiwa, who spoke on behalf of the government and people of Ondo State, also expressed gratitude to God for ensuring the safety of the kidnapped pupils and their teachers, noting that the news had brought joy and renewed hope to citizens.
The governor commended President Tinubu for providing the necessary leadership and support that facilitated a swift and well-coordinated rescue operation, stressing that such responsiveness underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to safeguarding lives.
He further applauded the efforts of the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigerian Army, Amotekun Corps, and local vigilante groups for their professionalism, bravery, and synergy in securing the release of the victims.
“The safe rescue of these pupils and their teachers is a victory for all of us and a testament to the commitment of the Federal Government to protect the lives and property of Nigerians,” the governor stated.
Aiyedatiwa also congratulated his Oyo State counterpart, Governor Seyi Makinde, on the successful outcome, acknowledging the collective efforts that led to the positive development.
Reiterating his administration’s commitment to security, the Ondo governor assured that the state would continue to strengthen collaboration with neighbouring states and federal security agencies to prevent similar incidents.
He emphasised the need for sustained vigilance and proactive measures to guarantee the safety of schools and communities across the region.
The governor also prayed for the quick recovery of the rescued victims, particularly those who may have experienced trauma during the ordeal.
He reaffirmed Ondo State’s solidarity with the government and people of Oyo State, noting that the successful rescue has reinforced confidence in the nation’s security architecture.
