Spain manager, Luis de la Fuente, has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to get past France in the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup, warning that they have defeated Les Bleus twice consecutively already.
The Spanish tactician made this known while speaking after setting up the all-European encounter following their triumph over Belgium.
La Roja progressed into the last four of the tournament on Friday, courtesy of a hard-fought 2-1 win over Rudi Garcia’s men.
On the other hand, France beat the remaining African representatives, Morocco, 2-0 to book their spot in the next round.

Both teams will now face each other in the semi-finals for a place in the showpiece final of the competition.
Speaking ahead of the fixture, De la Fuente claimed Spain’s tactical approach and current form give them the edge.
”Let me be clear: We are not finished,” De la Fuente said.
”We are going to work to try to overcome France, but they will be just as worried, as we’ve shown we’re the only team in the world capable of beating them in two consecutive matches.”
