The crash, which occurred at about 5:10 a.m. on Thursday, involved a white Mack truck with registration number ABC660XC and an orange Peugeot J5 bus with an unknown registration number.

Speaking on the accident, the FRSC stated that four male occupants were involved in the accident; two persons lost their lives, while two others escaped unhurt.

While expressing condolences to the families of the deceased, the command stressed the need for motorists to obey traffic regulations at all times.

Odunsi warned drivers against speeding and route violations, especially during periods of poor visibility and on wet road surfaces, noting that such dangerous driving behaviours continue to be major causes of fatal crashes on Nigerian roads.

The FRSC reiterated its commitment to ensuring safer roads through sustained enforcement, public enlightenment, and prompt rescue operations.
