Tunisia head coach, Hervé Renard, has clarified that he will leave his role at the end of the ongoing 2026 World Cup.
The 57-year-old French tactician made this known on Monday while speaking to ESPN.
According to Renard, his contract with the Carthage Eagles is only for the duration of the tournament, and there are currently no plans to extend the deal beyond June.
The Frenchman was originally brought in to replace his compatriot Sabri Lamouchi after the North African nation suffered a 5-1 annihilation at the hands of Sweden.

However, Renard also oversaw another heavy defeat to Japan on Saturday, which ultimately eliminated Tunisia from the tournament after just two matches.
While confirming the development during the interview, he said: “I’ve come for a World Cup mission.”
He added: “I have not signed beyond that.”
Tunisia’s final game is against Group F leaders Netherlands on Thursday.
