Chelsea captain, Reece James, has said he is sad to see Spanish defender, Marc Cucurella, leave Stamford Bridge for La Liga club, Real Madrid, saying, “I’m devastated”.
He made this known recently while appearing as a guest on the world’s largest commercial sports radio station, talkSPORT.

Los Blancos moved quickly to sign Cucurella upon the request of new manager, José Mourinho, in a deal worth €55 million (£47.5m) plus €5m (£4.3m) in add-ons.

Cucurella spent four years with the Blues, during which he won the Club World Cup and the Conference League.
Reacting to his exit from the West London club, James said, “You know, he’s obviously an amazing player, one of the best left-backs in the world, for sure.”
He went on to wish him success at his new club, admitting that movement across clubs is inevitable in football.
He added, “This is football. Players move every few months and I’m devastated to see him go. But I wish him all the best.”
