Baba Ijesha was sentenced to a five-year prison term in July 2022 by a Lagos State High Court, after it found him guilty of sexually assaulting a minor.

Nollywood comic actor James Olanrewaju Omiyinka, better known as Baba Ijesha, and his wife, celebrity stylist Abiodun Tokunbo (also known as Luminee), have welcomed their first child together, months after his release from prison.
The arrival of the baby boy, named Kagar Omiyinka, was revealed in a post shared by Luminee on her official Instagram page.
While announcing the birth of their son, she expressed gratitude to God for the new addition to their family, describing the occasion as a joyful moment.
“We are overwhelmed with joy. Our little star has arrived to light up our lives. Our lives are complete,” she wrote.

Luminee went on to praise Baba Ijesha, noting that he is a supportive partner, while expressing appreciation for his role throughout their journey to parenthood.
“I heart you, my Ijesha. You are one in a million. Your heart is pure. God gave us more than we prayed for, my ever-strong man, Baba Ijesha. I love you till eternity,” she stated.
She further described the birth of their son as a special gift and a privilege, noting that she was grateful for the opportunity to become a mother.
Baba Ijesha was arrested in April 2021 following public outcry and viral CCTV footage of him molesting the 14-year-old foster daughter of fellow actor Princess.
In July 2022, a Lagos State High Court found him guilty of sexual assault and indecent treatment of a minor, sentencing him to a five-year prison term.
However, in November 2025, the 53-year-old thespian was released from prison after serving his sentence.
