Children must be protected, educated and given better future – APC Belgium chairman

As the world celebrates children and recognizes their importance in society, the Chairman of APC Belgium, Hon. Ambassador Prince Gbenga Folowosele, has called on governments, stakeholders, organizations, and citizens across the world to prioritize the protection, education, and welfare of children.

In a statement released to commemorate Children’s Day, the APC Belgium Chairman described children as the “greatest asset and future leaders of every nation,” stressing that they represent hope, innovation, greatness, and the future of tomorrow.

He noted that no nation can achieve lasting peace, sustainable development, and prosperity without investing adequately in the wellbeing of children.

Prince Folowosele urged governments at all levels to strengthen policies and actions aimed at protecting children from insecurity, violence, abuse, exploitation, kidnapping, and all forms of suffering.

He emphasized the need to make schools and communities safe environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive without fear.
The APC Belgium Chairman also called on authorities to make quality and free education accessible to all children regardless of their social or financial background, describing education as one of the strongest foundations for national growth and development.

According to him, greater attention must also be given to the welfare of children through access to proper healthcare, food, shelter, emotional support, and other basic necessities of life. He warned that children should not be left to suffer because of poverty, neglect, or lack of opportunities.

Prince Folowosele further appealed to governments and stakeholders to collaborate with non-governmental organizations and advocacy groups committed to fighting for the rights, protection, education, and welfare of children.

He stated that such partnerships would help create lasting solutions that benefit vulnerable children and secure a better future for the next generation.
