Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira has challenged his former club’s players to complete the job they started and win the English Premier League (EPL) trophy.
The former France midfielder issued the title warning recently during a candid interview with Arsenal’s website.
His charge to the Gunners comes after Manchester City leapfrogged Mikel Arteta’s side to reclaim the number one position in the Premier League table.
The Citizens moved to the top of the league table ahead of Arsenal on goals scored following a narrow 1-0 win over Burnley at Turf Moor on Wednesday.

“However, while reacting to the development, Vieira reminded Arsenal not to forget the quality and spirit that took them to the top of the Premier League this season and the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League (UCL).
He added that such strong will should help them compete with Man City and ultimately win the title for the first time in 22 years.
“I think I just want them (Arsenal) to remind themselves where they are and why they are where they are. Meaning that they are at the top of the league, they are in the semi-final of the Champions League, and you can’t reach that level with no quality, with no team spirit, and with no togetherness,” Vieira said.
“When we (Arsenal) are in the last sprint, I will say it: it’s important not to forget the quality that brings them where they are today, because that will help them to win,” he added.
Arsenal will take on Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday; a win will see them regain the leadership of the league.
