The Dynamic Athletics Meet 2026 has officially been scheduled for July 4 on the World Athletics calendar marking the third edition of the competition, organized by Dynamic Athletics Media and Sports Management anchored by Olabanji Ayegbusi.
Over time, the meet has continued to gain significant backing from key stakeholders within the athletics community, including former athletes, veteran coaches, corporate brands, and the Athletics Federation of Nigeria.
Strategically positioned ahead of the 2026 Commonwealth Games (scheduled from July 23 to August 2, 2026), the event is expected to serve as a crucial preparatory platform. Elite athletes will have the opportunity to fine-tune their performances, while emerging home-based talents can aim for improved results and greater exposure.
Speaking on the upcoming meet, Ayegbusi emphasized the need for increased support to elevate the competition into one of the premier athletics meets in West Africa this year. He noted that the previous edition attracted participants from countries such as Benin Republic, Côte d’Ivoire, and Nigeria.
“With the right level of support, the Dynamic Athletics Meet will continue to provide athletes with a valuable platform to showcase their talent and deliver outstanding performances,” he said.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Yaba College of Technology Sports Complex on July 4, a venue widely regarded as one of the fastest tracks in Nigeria, having produced numerous outstanding performances over the years.
