Nollywood actresses Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham have set tongues wagging on social media after the former snubbed the latter recently.
The incident occurred at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos during the premiere of Iyabo Ojo’s film, The Return of Arinzo.
In the now-trending clip, Abraham approached Akindele to exchange pleasantries, but she did not respond and instead kept her gaze elsewhere.
Abraham later moved away from Akindele to greet Ojo and other colleagues as she walked away from the table.
After the video surfaced online, it elicited mixed reactions from netizens commenting on the saga.

While some berated Akindele for what they described as “childish” behaviour, others argued that Abraham should not have greeted her if they were not on good terms.
An X user identified as @RealAdesina wrote, “It was maturity on her part to greet Funke Akindele, but in return, Funke Akindele behaved like a child.”
Another netizen, @_tobyblush, said, “Apparently, Toyin Abraham knelt down as always to greet Funke Akindele at The Return of Arinzo movie premiere, but she ignored her and kept a straight face. Why though? That’s embarrassing.”
However, @Tabloid12 added, “Toyin should have done the same. There is absolutely no reason to greet someone you are not on good terms with. Save the hypocrisy; no one needs it.”
Also commenting, @dunsyn_ wrote, “I dislike people like Toyin Abraham; they hurt you behind the scenes, act good in front of the camera, and when you react by not pretending and accepting the bullshit anymore, people start seeing you as the problem. Run away from people like this.”
Meanwhile, @kufrekoffi noted, “What’s happening in Nollywood? It seems they have completely forgotten the importance of their job and turned it into a battlefield. I was against Funke Akindele’s action for snubbing her female colleague earlier, but from what’s been unravelling so far, it only goes to show they all have a beef against her success in the industry, and that’s totally disturbing. I love the fact she doesn’t even seem bothered about it. Courageous woman.”
