Nigeria’s Super Eagles right-back, Ola Aina, is nearing a return to action for Nottingham Forest after months of injury layoff.
The defender was pictured in training at Forest’s training ground on Thursday for the first time since undergoing surgery for a hamstring injury he sustained in September.
Aina suffered the injury during Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matchday eight clash against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.

The 29-year-old, who hobbled off the pitch after just 10 minutes of the encounter, missed the rest of Nigeria’s World Cup qualifiers.
He is, however, expected to join full team training in the coming days after a lengthy recovery.
His return will be a massive boost for the Tricky Trees, who have endured a poor start to the new season.
Nottingham Forest, who visit Anfield Stadium on Saturday to face English Premier League (EPL) champions, Liverpool, have sacked two managers this season.
