Espirito Santo was initially handed a new contract this summer after helping Nottingham Forest finish seventh last season.

Nottingham Forest have reportedly parted ways with their head coach, Nuno Espirito Santo.
According to Sky Sports, the Portuguese tactician’s position became uncertain in August after he publicly declared that his relationship with co-owner Evangelos Marinakis was “not the same” and “not so good as it was [last season]”.
His comments were said to leave Forest bosses baffled and led to those within the club questioning his commitment to the role.
The 51-year-old leaves the City Ground just under two years despite guiding the English Premier League (EPL) club to the Europa League last season.
The development means Forest will be led by a new manager when they face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
Nuno was handed a new contract this summer having helped the club finish seventh in 2024/25, and seeing numerous players develop under his charge.
Nottingham Forest currently sit 10th after picked up four points from their opening three league fixtures.
