According to him, PDP’s decision to leave its presidential ticket open rather than zone it to the southern part of the country cost the party the election.

Mohammed, who is chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, also said the party has now learnt from its mistake.

While responding to questions during the interview, he said, “Life is always a learning process. When we did it in 2023, it was not a pleasant experience, and that was why we lost.”

Earlier in the week, PDP, during its National Executive Committee (NEC), meeting in Abuja, zoned its presidential ticket to southern Nigeria ahead of the forthcoming 2027 elections.
