Chelsea have announced that French midfielder, Lesley Ugochukwu, has left Stamford Bridge after completing a permanent transfer to Premier League side, Burnley.
The Blues made this known on Wednesday in a statement on their official website.
According to BBC, the fee is similar to the £23.2m Chelsea paid to sign the player in 2023.
Ugochukwu joined the UEFA Conference League champions from French Ligue 1 side, Rennes two years ago
He made 15 appearances for the west London outfit in his first season and later joined Southampton on loan for the 2024/25 campaign.
The Frenchman was, however, considered surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea look to sell multiple players in their so-called ‘bomb squad’ – a group of players including England internationals Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell – training separately from Enzo Maresca’s first team.

Speaking after completing the move, Ugochukwu said, “It’s a great feeling to sign for Burnley.”
The 21-year-old added, “As soon as I was made aware of the club’s interest in signing me, I was keen to hear more about the project. I spoke to the manager and Maxime [Esteve] – they were both so passionate about the club and the direction it’s heading in.
“It feels like this is the perfect move for me at this stage of my career with the ambition the club is showing”
Meanwhile, Chelsea striker, Marc Guiu will continue his development at the newly-promoted Sunderland after completing a loan deal.
The 19-year-old striker made 16 appearances for Chelsea last season after arriving from Barcelona.
He struck six goals during Chelsea’s successful Conference League campaign.
