Osun Central Senator, Fadeyi-Ajagunla resigns from PDP moments after colleague, Fadahunsi dumped party

Fadeyi-Ajagunla said he left the main opposition party due to irreconcilable differences with the party’s leadership.

A federal lawmaker representing Osun Central Senatorial District, Olubiyi Fadeyi-Ajagunla, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He made this known in a letter dated June 12, 2025 and tendered to the PDP chairman of Ward 3, Oke-Ejigbo, Ila-Orangun.

According to the legislator, he left the main opposition party due to irreconcilable differences with the party’s leadership.

His resignation, which marks another high-profile exit from the party in Osun State, is coming on the heels of an earlier report by TheNiche that the lawmaker representing Osun East Senatorial District, Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi left the PDP.

Announcing his exit through the letter, Fadeyi-Ajagunla wrote, “I wish to formally notify you that I am resigning my Membership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect.

“Irreconcilable difference and irreparable division that have emerged and court cases and counter court cases in the last 3 years which has Created faction in the party at the National level.

“This was concluded after consultation and engagement with my political associates, family and friends.

“Thanking you in advance for accepting my resignation.

“Thank you.”
