Nigeria will now face the winner of the South Africa versus Senegal clash in the semi-finals next Tuesday.

Super Falcons of Nigeria booked their place in the semi-final of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) after thrashing Zambia 5-0 in a match played at the Stade Larbi Zaouli Stadium, Cassablanca, Morocco on Friday evening.
Nigeria opened the scoring as early as the 2nd minute after centre-back Osinachi Ohale headed home a cross from Esther Okoronkwo.
Both teams then battled for control of the match, with Zambia captain Barbara Banda giving the Super Falcons’ defence a stern test.

Okoronkwo doubled Nigeria’s lead three minutes past the half-hour mark before
Chiwendu Ihezuo capitalised on a defensive error to score a third goal on the stroke of half-time.
The Zambians enjoyed a spell of possession after the break, but the Super Falcons held their ground and preserved their commanding lead
Two more goals from Tosin Demehin and Folashade Ijamilusi in the 68th and 90th minutes ensured the nine-time African champions claimed a 5-0 victory.
