Davido claims Ronaldo cancelled their dinner plan after his team lost

Davido also joked that he is yet to forgive Man United defender, Harry Maguire, who he alleged cause the defeat.

Afrobeats singer, songwriter and record producer, David Adeleke better known as Davido, has recounted how football star, Cristiano Ronaldo, abandoned a planned dinner with him after his team lost a match.

The ‘Eletricricity’ crooner made this known in a post he shared on his X page on Tuesday evening.

According to him, the former Real Madrid striker invited him to watch a match at Old Trafford and arranged dinner for him and his crew afterward.

He, however, cancelled the plan after his team lost the game.

Davido went on to joke that he is still holding a grudge against Manchester United defender, Harry Maguire, whom he blamed for the team’s defeat.

Taking to his verified social media handled, he wrote, “Football ehn fit give person BP… I remember when CR7 personally invite me come watch match for Old Trafford then a couple of years ago … He don book dinner all! Party chillin etc …. Nah so dem go lose match, bab vex go house.

“Since that day I still never forgive Maguire.”
