Air Peace Ltd has suspended all flight operations nationwide due to the industrial action by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET).
The conpany’s Head of Corporate Communications, Dr Ejike Ndiulo, announced this in a statement on Wednesday in Lagos.
Ndiulo said in the statement posted on X that the decision was necessary because NiMet is the agency responsible for issuing CNH (Current Nowcast of Hazardous Weather) reports, critical for safe landings, especially during this season of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.

He said without these reports from the control tower, flight safety could not be guaranteed.
“Due to the ongoing NiMet strike and the unavailability of QNH (hazardous weather) reports required for safe landings, Air Peace has suspended all flight operations nationwide until the strike is over.
“Your safety is our top priority. We appreciate your understanding and will share updates as the situation unfolds.” he said.
